Max Elwood is an Essex-based author and journalist whose first novel is Dark Waters.

 

As a journalist, Max mainly covers the marketing business in which there are, thankfully, very few murders to inspire his crime fiction writing, but plenty of creative thinking to keep him on his toes.

 

He lives by the sea with his wife and two ids and, when he isn't reading, writing or watching his fotball team lose, he is invariably ferrying one or both of the aforementioned children to or from somewhere.
