Journalist Abraham Hart’s life is unravelling. His wife has left him, his teenage daughter won’t speak to him, and his career is teetering on the brink of ruin. ​

Desperate, he returns to his hometown of Southend seeking atonement but after the suspicious death of a young girl he stumbles headfirst into a web of secrets and shadows.​

As he attempts to unravel the twisted threads of deceit Abraham finds himself pitted against his own family, the authorities and an underworld that will stop at nothing to protect its secrets.​
